While we’re desperately awaiting Marina’s Max Factor campaign, it has been announced, that the person, she’ll be joined by, is Eliza Doolittle. Thanks to Marina’s Diamond we’ve got the quote that was featured in Mail on Sunday:
Pint-sized pop sensation Eliza Doolittle has been chosen as the latest Max Factor girl. “I just did the photoshoot. I had to part with my eyeliner, which was a big deal, but they wanted to try some new looks,” she told me. The 22-year-old, whose debut album reached #3, joins well pop star Marina Diamandis as face of the make-up house.
We can’t wait to see the first pictures of the collection!
This might be a post that’s only interesting for the girls among you, but maybe some of you have asked about what kind of make-up Marina used at her most recent public appearance. InStyle has put up a whole article about it. Lancôme make-up artists reveal how they created Marina Diamandis’ stunning looks at InStyle’s Best Of British Talent party.
Inspiration: Strong rock chic look focusing on the eyes to compliment the on-trend neon lip. A directional look that Marina is able to carry off.
We’ve got a few more pictures of January 25: These were taken while Marina was arriving at the party. She looks absolutely stunning — take a look by clicking (as always) on the banner above.
On January 25 Marina has attended her first event of this year, wearing a beautiful leo-print top with a black skirt and her famous Roy-Lichtenstein-heels. Take a look at a first picture by clicking on the banner above!
On December 8 Marina performed at the Other Voices Festival (click here to view pictures), but videos of her performance have never been released, because they were set to be broadcasted on TV first. Seems like this did happen now, watch the newly released performance of “Shampain” below.
What?! Again scans?! The answer is simple — yes. We’ve been uploading tons of scans the past days thanks to Fats and this time it’s an article of Stella Magazine, that does not only has Marina on its cover, it also features two photos of her as a child and a new photoshoot picture here. Take a look at them, the interview is really interesting, too!
Yesterday Marina spoke with WalesOnline about success. She said:
“I didn’t even listen to any music until I was about 19, really. I just wanted to be famous. But I didn’t say it to anyone because I was really embarrassed at the thought.”
She applied herself academically – by her own admittance in a “hardcore” fashion.
“With my GCSEs I was up at 2am everyday and I would study until 7am, go to school then come back and do some more,” Diamandis told a London Sunday newspaper.
When she was 16, Marina left the village of Pandy in Monmouthshire to live with her father in Athens, where she took the International Baccalaureate. (more…)
The Mail on Sunday features a small picture and text about Marina, putting her into the “Princesses of Pop” category at the Posh List. Fats sent us the scan and you can take a look at it in the gallery!
Click on the banner to browse through scans of last year’s British Vogue, which featured an article about the “In Club”, to which Marina of course belongs! Take a look, though they are quite small, they’re nice.
Thanks to The Diamonds we’ve got a new photoshoot picture from last year. It seems to be from a session that was unknown until now, view it by clicking on the banner above!
