The fifth part of the Electra Heart video journey has just been released on YouTube and this time we get introduced to one of the Archetypes we’ve already met on the album: “Su-Barbie-A”. Watch the video below!

Once again there’s a new interview, this one has been released by News.com.au to promote the album’s release in Australia. She talks about her feelings after finishing the first record, creating the opposite of herself and how being blonde changed her image.
“There’s all this theorising about how my look has changed and all that, but really the whole blonde thing – I thought if I could be the opposite of myself I could make him fall in love with me again. So half of it was to entice him back into falling in love with me again.” — Read more?

We’ve seen Marina on “Freshly Squeezed” before, but this time it’s a bit different: In the latest broadcast Marina is the one asking questions! Check out the video recorded by JJsMusicMusings below, in which Marina tests the “Freshly Squeezed” presenters on their Marina-knowledge. Also, we get to know that Marina’s favorite chrisps are Walker’s Monster Munch Pickled Onion.

You might remember Marina’s performance on “The Crush” earlier this month (her appearance actually took place on April the 4th) and now a couple of photos have been released which you can check out in the gallery. There are 8 in total and the quality isn’t perfect, but yet good enough to make them enjoyable.
In other news, the music video for “Power and Control”, the album’s second single, is being shot today! All we know at this point is what her nails will look like (Thanks FYElectraHeart), as a photo of the design has been released online. Check it out here.

Marina did a photoshoot yesterday (April 14) and there’s a snapshot from the set in our gallery now. The photographer you see her with is Rebecca Miller and the actual images that have been taken that day are soon going to be published in “Paper” Magazine. Click on the banner above to view the photo in full size.
While there isn’t anything brand new happening in Marina’s world at the moment, we’ve got a short video of Marina backstage at “The Crush”, which you can watch below. In other news, “Electra Heart” is on #13 this week after falling 12 spots, while “Primadonna” is currently at #14 (down 3 positions).

Both Seventeen and SuperSuper! have published interviews with Marina. The first one rather feels like a random chat with the usual questions, while the second one is more in-depth and asks questions we might not have heard the answer to. Check them out!
How are you able to express your feelings on love and heartbreak in a humorous way?
The first songs I wrote, “Starring Roles” and “Lies”, are a bit more cutting because I wrote them when I was really hurt. But halfway through the album, I started to get over it, so I started putting humor into the songs. I quite like dark humor. Everyone gets dumped and everyone gets hurt and there’s karma to love in regards to what you’ve done to other people. I was mean to boyfriends, so then it happens to me! And as for the beau who set the tone for my album, what he did to me will happen to him with someone else — Read the article?
Do you write your most honest songs in the day or night?
I only ever write after 7pm usually- if I’m writing alone, anyhow. I think you can be honest at 7am or 7pm. But probably a little more self-aware at the latter time! — Read the article?

Yesterday british television broadcasted a new interview and performance of Marina, which JJsMusicMusings kindly uploaded on YouTube, so you can check the two videos out below. The appearance was taped and actually took place early in April 2012.

Primadonna is the first single off Marina's album 'Electra Heart'.
